You don’t realize how much something helps you process life and all. the. things. until you set aside a well-established writing rhythm (among other rhythms and routines) for nearly two months and processing things starts to closely resemble those head cold symptoms you just fought through: fatigued body, foggy thoughts, and frayed emotions.
So here I am with an awkward “hey there.”
My goals from stepping away from this space were accomplished: script was written, selected songs had certain lyrics rewritten, and all of it was painstakingly memorized, rehearsed, and performed to the best of our ensemble cast’s ability, which was wonderfully. Shelf Life, the story of Colleen’s Corner, a bookstore that doesn’t appear to be much on the outside. But you can’t judge this bookstore (or the people in it) by its cover.
(You can catch a few more glimpses here, here, and here.)
I’ll be back in your inbox next week, just in time for our love leaves anniversary and glimpses of love challenge.
The best awkward hellos are short but sweet, and so it will be with this one.
Until next time,
Becky
In October, I’ll be starting a new series on the glimpses of love that show up when we choose to love others in practical (and impractical) ways, so stay tuned for those details next month.
Welcome back, Becky! And brava on all you did this summer!! 🎭 🎶 🙌🤩
