I’ve shared words about the both/and-y things of life before, as well as the challenges - and unexpected blessings - that show up as we wrestle with embracing paradox.
Here’s some both/and-y themed link love:
When the relationships and institutions you thought would last forever aren’t accessible in the same ways they have been, you learn to cling to the One who doesn’t change.
Lore Ferguson Wilbert
But, in true “both/and” tradition, there have been some beautifully timed joys, too…
In so many ways mine is a privileged and indeed blessed life. It’s both a good and a hard life. Far from perfect. Far from terrible. It is a precarious gift. A hurting hopeful human gift of a life.
My soul might be sinking, but God is the one who dives “down,”
chasing the drowning…
But Jesus knows there is no power that is not, finally, love.

Until next time,
